You Make It Holy - 2026 Single | Lyrics

By Emily Summerhays

It was only a vast desert, just miles and miles of sand
Yet you claimed this piece of earth and it became the promised land
It was just a simple grove acres full of trees
Then you entered made it sacred and you make the same change in me

Anywhere you go you bring it to life
Whatever you touch turns in to gold
You raise it up from the ashes of doubt
You bring warmth to the bitter and cold
No lost cause no too small and simple
What we offer is never too little
You take what is broken and you fill it up with your light
You make it holy you make it holy you make it holy

I am only one small person riddled with weakness and sin
Yet you entered my story and changed me from deep within
Even with all my struggles you help me become so much more
Someone who faces my giants, someone I wasn’t before

Anywhere you go you bring it to life
Whatever you touch turns in to gold
You raise it up from the ashes of doubt
You bring warmth to the bitter and cold
No lost cause no too small and simple
What we offer is never too little
You take what is broken and you fill it up with your light
You make it holy you make it holy you make it holy

Water to wine and bush into fire
Day after day you don’t seem to tire
Of taking the plain and making it something divine

Anywhere you go you bring it to life
Whatever you touch turns in to gold
You raise it up from the ashes of doubt
You bring warmth to the bitter and cold
No lost cause no too small and simple
What we offer is never too little
You take what is broken and you fill it up with your light
You make it holy you make it holy you make it holy

Faith Can Do It | Lyrics

By Emily Summerhays

Standing here at the base of another mountain

It’s not yet clear how I should proceed

It feels so tall so many steps between

where I am right now

And where I want to be

Lord help thou my unbelief

Chorus

Climb it, move it, faith can do it

I trust your will, your way, so let it be

Though I did not choose this

I know you’ll get me through this

Every mile ahead that I still cannot see

Faith can move this mountain or move me

Climbing here I cannot see my progress

I fight the fear of the slope in front of me

I start to slip I grasp for something steady

Something sure

Something I can see

Lord please come and steady me

Chorus

Climb it, move it, faith can do it

I trust your will, your way, so let it be

Though I did not choose this

I know you’ll get me through this

Every mile ahead that I still cannot see

Faith can move this mountain or move me

Bridge

I know you have the power to deliver

Or in my bondage give me hope

I know you could move this mountain, Lord

Or in love you’ll be my rope

Chorus

Climb it, move it, faith can do it

I trust your will, your way, so let it be

Though I did not choose this

I know you’ll you’ll get me through this

Every mile ahead that I still cannot see

Faith can move this mountain or move me

Standing here at the top of this mountain

Now it’s clear and from this place I see

While it’s not the miracle I wanted

I can see you wanted so much more for me

You could have moved this mountain

But you moved me

"Walk With Me" | Lyrics

Water crashing at my feet, wondering if I'm doomed for deep

Everywhere around me, the angry waters roar

Up ahead a glow of light, calms the water, clears my mind

What could this be wandering so far from the shore

Chorus

He reaches out, says come with me

And I'll show you how to walk upon the sea

Don't look at the waves, just take a step and breathe

You can walk on water, when you walk with me

Waves of life still crash around, some days I feel doomed to drown

Everyone around me, has so much to say

How to find His light and voice

I'm on the bough, I have a choice

The light within the storm helps me see my way

Chorus

He reaches out, says come with me

And I'll show you how to walk upon the sea

Don't look at the waves, just take a step and breathe

You can walk on water, when you walk with me

Bridge

My feet are soaked, the waves still roar

But in the dark, I keep walking forward

My fear creeps in, I start to sink

Then Jesus says, just look at me

Don't look at the waves, just take a step and breathe

You can walk on water, when you walk with me

He who rules the waves takes my hand and helps me see

I can walk on water

I can walk on water

I can walk on water

When He walks with me.

Hey friends, I had some requests to read the lyrics to this song and so decided to put them here. I reserve the right to change them at any time until its recorded :) since it is still a work in progress.

This song was the Lord's way of teaching me how to focus on Him rather than all the waves of fear and doubt that the world kept flinging at me. After a year and a half of too much news and media I could feel the sadness, fear and frustration seeping into my brain and body. Through this, I kept having this image come into my head of me, just like the apostle Peter, walking on water towards the Savior. He would lovingly tell me to not look at the waves but to look at Him.

I don't think this means we should turn a blind eye to all the sad, difficult circumstances in the world. I think it is important to be informed especially if there is something we can do to alleviate suffering or take a stand for something we believe in, but the important question is where is our focus? This same advice applies to our struggles in our own lives as well. Some days we cant see the light for all the clouds. On those days, however hard it may be, we need to try to find Him and focus on Him even as the storms of our lives continue. When we do this we can see that alongside the sadness and struggle there can be joy. He brings the joy into our storms and helps us do amazing things that surpass understanding... well like walking on water.
